"The Glasscock County VFD, Garden City, Texas, recently took delivery of a new large brush truck from Steele Fire Apparatus, as a result of assistance from the Texas Forest Service. A Neighboring VFD had received a brush truck manufactured by SFA around ten years ago, which is still in commission and going strong today. Our VFD has always been extremely impressed with the truck and once we received grant approval, our first and only choice to build our new truck was SFA. Our brush truck from SFA is very simple, yet functional with the capability to make replacements and/or repairs with great ease. The truck is also very durable with construction that will stand the test of time and will take the abuse dealt to it. We would also like to commend Bill on his willingness to work with our department on design adjustments, as well as his "open door" policy on questions or comments posed.
I would highly recommend Steele Fire Apparatus for all of your brush truck needs and for your next new truck."

"The City of Tye is extremely pleased with our new skid unit. Everything was designed to our specs and needs. Once the tank came in, it was less than a week before it was ready for pick up. Thank you Bill and staff for a great job!"

City of Tye Fire Department
"We at Archer City VFD are extremely proud of our newly delivered brush/quick attack truck, funded largely by the Texas Forest Service, and manufactured by Steele Apparatus. They took our ideas, offered us some fresh ones, and built a unit that is not only sharp-looking, but one that is very functional. The workmanship and service afterwards have been excellent and we would recomment that anyone contact Steele Fire Apparatus if they are in the market for a fire unit."
Mike Cavitt, Archer City VFD
I was faced with the project of replacing two of our manpower squads which were outdated, underpowered and lacking adequate compartment space. The two units were ¾ ton crew cab pickups with a custom built box for compartments and a slide out pump. Wanting to stay with this concept, I started researching vendors on-line and talking to area Fire Departments trying to find ways to improve on what we currently had. My Fire Chief, Earl Foster, asked if I had considered Steele Apparatus out of Haskell Texas. He had heard of Steele Apparatus while putting together a vendors list for the IAFC SW Division conference. After several conversations with you and other vendors, my decision was easy. Your assistance and guidance with the design of these units made working with you a pleasure. You and your staff produced two quality pieces of equipment with everything that we asked for and more. The workmanship is second to none and the overall purpose and functionality of these units have far exceeded my expectations. The hometown flair that your company displays and the attitude that you will do whatever possible to satisfy the customer, serves you well.
Lastly but just as important, I appreciate the friendship that has resulted in our venture. Please feel free to use this letter on your web site and do not hesitate to use me as a reference.
Good luck and stay safe
