Janesville® V-Force® Coats
The best technology from combat and sports clothing applied to turnouts.

V-Force® Coats
Just as NASA technology advancements were transitioned into ground breaking protective clothing improvements in the 1970s, Janesville’s V-Force® bunker gear has embraced innovations from today’s military and sports clothing. The result is an intricate set of bunker gear that is designed to flex and bend like the human body.

Natural Arm Movement
The contoured raglan sleeves have a natural shaping. This combines with the V-Fit™ Elbow to promote free and easy movement. The elbow is made up of cutouts, shaped pieces, and darts. This reduces bunching and the overall working
weight of the coat. Polymer-coated aramid elbow reinforcements are notched to give you superior thermal and moisture protection without impeding movement. The coats cuffs extend over the back of your hand for additional thermal protection when reaching or pulling.

The Difference Is in the Details
The V-Force™ Coat is cut much different than common firefighting coats. The seams are not at the shoulders and sides, but at the back. This significantly reduces hem rise when you’re extending your arms. It also prevents SCBA straps from pushing seams into your body and causing discomfort. Fitted side panels provide a more tailored fit and better mobility. The contoured collar provides outstanding thermal protection. There is also a split collar option for additional comfort.

Reduced Working Weight
No detail has been overlooked. The collar and throat tab are angled for comfort and to interface perfectly with your SCBA mask. The streamlined storm flap reduces thermal buildup and the coat’s working weight.

V-Force® Coat Styles

Janesville® V-Force® Pants
Now with three great choices!
Bi-Swing V-Force® Coat
has all the great safety and mobility features of the standard V-Force® Coat, but also incorporates a bi-swing back. The bi-swing back has an inverted pleat in both the outer shell and thermal barrier. It expands as your arms move forward. There’s no tugging or binding at the shoulder. When your arms return to a natural position, the pleat closes so there’s no bunching of material.
Standard V-Force® Coat
has a superior cut that delivers better fit and mobility. Fitted side panels for a tailored fit and optimum mobility. Contoured raglan sleeves are shaped like the human arm so they bend like your arm with no pulling or binding. V-Notch® elbow reinforcements keep heat and moisture out, but won’t bunch in the fold of your elbow. Shaped throat tab and collar comfortably interface with your SCBA mask.
V-Force® High-Back Pants
provide the ultimate in thermal protection. A five-inch back panel extends above the waist. There is a unique hook and loop support pad where Lion’s V-Back™ Suspenders attach (required with these pants). There are snap tabs on the front part of the waist for fastening the suspenders.
V-Force® Belted Pants
have a low-rise waist with belt loops; a two-inch Kevlar® belt with thermoplastic, quick release buckle; and suspender buttons to give you the option of using the belt alone or adding suspenders.
V-Force® Lumbar Pants
have a low-rise waist and feature the Lion Lumbar Support System. This system is integrated into the V-Force™ and is orthopedically designed to provide adjustable mechanical support when you’re lifting, bending forward, standing, or performing emergency rescues.
