An incredibly lightweight proximity system.

The Aero-Commando™ Coat – Optimum Mobility and Safety
The Aero-Commando™ incorporates the proven design and benefits of the Janesville® Commando™ into a proximity suit. It is a short length coat (32" and 35" for males and 29" and 32" for females) that is incredibly lightweight. This optimizes movement and minimizes stress. It includes all of Janesville’s industry-leading Freedom® Design features in the under arms and elbows (see pages 20 – 21). This optimizes mobility and minimizes stress.

Light, but Tough
It is made from paraaramid aluminized knit that is light, but durable. It has excellent strength retention when exposed to chemicals, solvents, fuels, and steam. It creases differently with each bend of the elbow. This prevents “memory” from developing in the inner elbow of the outer shell and prematurely degrading the aluminized fabric.

Aero-Super Pants™ for Free and Natural Movement
Aero-Super Pants™ are patterned after the Janesville® Super Pants™ for structural firefighting. The design enables free and natural movement when performing proximity firefighting tasks. The pants have a slightly higher waistline in back for bent-over-protection and an innovative knee design that gives you ease of flex. The knees and cuffs are reinforced with an extra layer of the aluminized outer shell material. Take-up straps on each side allow you to adjust the fit of the pants for superior comfort and a tailored feel.
Aluminized Gloves
The aluminized gloves are made with a paraaramid aluminized knit outer shell with black split cowhide grip patches on the palm and flexible vent pleats on the back. It has a CROSSTECH® Direct Grip one-piece liner/barrier system and 4" Nomex® wristlet with leather pull.
